The Meriden Black Heritage Festival is hosting its 24th annual festival on June 15, 2013. Become a sponsor, vendor or patron of the festival and join us in our efforts to “Educate, Empower, Entertain “ Connecticut residents regarding the achievements and diversity of the African American culture.

The Meriden Black Heritage Festival celebrates the spirit of African-American life, music, history and culture. This family oriented event provides educational, cultural and fun activities for the entire community and brings awareness to the contributions of African-Americans and others in the vast African Diaspora. Our creed to “Educate, Empower, Entertain.”.. inspires us to bring vendors from across the tri-state area to provide health screenings wellness information and nutritional guidance, along with financial literacy and wealth building strategies to enhance the lives of those in our community. Our goal is to promote creativity, educational achievement, entrepreneurship and community awareness in and about the African American community .

The Meriden Black Heritage Festival, the largest African -American festival event in Connecticut , offers something for everyone .. with an array of entertainment, cultural exhibits, contests and children’s activities. Let your creativity abound in our Arts and crafts area or challenge your friends to a 3 on 3 basketball tournament.  Enjoy mouth watering ethnic delights. as our vendors work their magic.
